Having obstructions like walls in between you and the dropped weapon will not affect the despawning mechanics. If you stay inside the green zone while facing away from the dropped weapon or if you stay inside the orange zone while facing the weapon, the weapon will never despawn on its own. If you then decide to once again exit the orange zone and the despawn time has passed from the time you first exited the orange zone, the weapon will immediately despawn. If you enter back into the orange zone after having exited it once, the despawn timer will freeze. Exiting the the orange zone even if you are facing the weapon, will begin the despawn timer. Orange Zone: Staying in the orange zone radius (about 3 Wraith lengths) from a dropped weapon will not begin the dropped weapon's despawn timer only if you are facing the weapon. If you then decide to once again exit the green zone while facing away from the dropped weapon and the despawn time has passed from the time you first exited the green zone while not facing the dropped weapon, the weapon will immediately despawn. If you enter back into the green zone after having exited it once while you were facing away from the dropped weapon, the despawn timer will freeze. If and only if you are not facing the dropped weapon, exiting the green zone will begin the despawn timer. Green Zone: Staying in the green zone radius (about 1 Wraith length) from a dropped weapon will not begin the dropped weapon's despawn timer under any circumstance. (more below) the only way to reset the despawn timer is to pick up the weapon While holding the same weapon, pick up more ammo for that weapon for a weapon cabinet/pad and the weapon from the cabinet/pad will despawnģ. Use up all the ammo (and keep holding it if you may)Ģ. To despawn a weapon from the map you can either:ġ. (same logic applies to vehicle- and equipment pads) In ranked modes there aren't more than 1 weapon possible per cabinet. the weapons Mangler/Disruptor/Plasma Pistol, then one of those weapons will be chosen to spawn in that cabinet for the duration of that match.

In Halo Infinite the weapons, equipment and vehicles spawn in cabinets/pads that in Arena and BTB modes can have more than 1 weapon chosen from the pool once the match loads. If you pick up the previous weapon any time shorter than 15 seconds apart from the new respawn, it will respawn again after its static timer + the time under 15 seconds e.g. If you have yet to pick up a weapon that is about to have its static respawn timer run out, you can pick up the previous weapon 15 seconds before the new one would spawn in its place so you will get the same weapon twice 15 seconds apart. This mimics the Halo CE weapon spawn system. In other words, the weapon will spawn at a specific time during the game and will keep spawning when its respawn time has passed, even if you have the weapon in hand. The Static respawn Weapons ( underlined in this guide) have a static timer that begins right after the the match starts and will continue on a linear timer without interruption. (same logic applies to the Wasp in Highpower, when it gets destroyed)

In Halo Infinite maps there are 3 types of Weapon respawning categories for this guide: Regular weapons, 'Ammo/despawn weapons' and Static respawn weapons.įor regular weapons, the respawn timer starts ticking right as you pick up the weapon and the weapon will respawn even if you have that picked up weapon still in hand.įor 'Ammo/despawn weapons' ('marked like this' in this guide) the respawn timer starts ticking after all the ammo has been used up or the weapon has despawned from the map.
